[ARCHIVED] Appointment of Community Development Director

Brian Pedrotti

ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA – The City of Arroyo Grande is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Pedrotti as its new Community Development Director.   

Mr. Pedrotti recently served as Supervising Planner for the County of San Luis Obispo and has significant experience and education in urban and regional planning. He is an adjunct lecturer on public sector planning topics at Cal Poly and oversees a team of long-range planners at the County, working on projects such as the Airport Land Use Plan and the Dana Reserve Specific Plan. 

Mr. Pedrotti holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning with an emphasis in Land Use and Environment from the University of Kansas, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Biology & Management from the University of California, Davis.

“As an Arroyo Grande resident, Brian is highly dedicated to our community and comes to the position with a first-hand understanding of our needs. We are thrilled that he is bringing his education, experience, and knowledge and his long and consistent track record of successes to the City team,” said City Manager, Whitney McDonald. 

Mr. Pedrotti will start with the City during the week of June 14, 2021, and will begin introducing himself to the community shortly thereafter.
