Parks & Recreation Commission


On August 9th, 2017, the Parks and Recreation Commission approved the distribution of a community opinion survey to get public input on the City’s current parks, facilities, and recreation programs. The City is looking to update the Parks and Recreation Element of the General Plan, and the survey results will be used to help shape goals and policies in the update process.

The City will be collecting survey responses from August 14th through November 30th. The survey is available to take online or in hard copy, in both English and Spanish. Hard copies of the survey will be made available at the following City offices:

About the Parks & Recreation Commission

The Parks and Recreation Commission shall be responsible for advising the Parks and Recreation Department and City Council on matters pertaining to the public parks and recreational activities within the city. Members of the commission shall serve for a term ending January 31, following the expiration of the term of the respective appointing mayor or council member, as applicable.
