Purpose
The Community Services Specialist performs a wide variety of tasks including, but not limited to: providing information and educating the public; administering the City’s code compliance program, including the identification, investigation and correction of violations of the City’s municipal, building, zoning, occupancy, signage and housing codes; performing field inspections and investigating citizen complaints of public nuisances and quality of life issues and seeking voluntary compliance or issuing citations and initiating abatement procedures; education, enforcement and inspection supporting the City’s compliance with SB 1383 - Cal Recycle Organics Regulations, and performing related planning work as required.
