Program Information
The Greenwaste Recycling Program is brought to you by Tri-City Disposal Service. On your regular garbage collection day, place your greenwaste container (stickered can or green wastewheeler) on the curb by 6:30a.m. Your greenwaste will be picked up by a special greenwaste collection truck. Remember that tan or brown wastewheelers are for garbage and that green wastewheelers are for greenwaste. NO GREENWASTE IN PLASTIC BAGS.
Acceptable material
- Grass
- Leaves
- Plant prunings
- Weeds with a minimum of soil
- Tree trimings
- Christmas trees (unflocked and no stands)
- Clean yard waste
- Construction wood (no paint, stain, or glue)
- Wood must be less than 6 inches in diameter
- Wood must be less than 3 feet long
Non-acceptable material
- Animal manure (dog, cat, horse, etc.)
- Diapers
- Food waste of any kind
- Painted, stained or glued wood
- Palm or yucca plants
- Rocks, gravel, or dirt
- Asphalt or concrete
- Metals
- Plastic, paper, trash, or refuse
- Paint, oil, liquid waste, or hazardous material
- Fallen fruit from trees
