Emergency Preparedness and Recovery

WHAT IF...
you dialed 911 and there was a busy tone?

OR...
there wasn't any dial tone at all?

If an emergency occurred in Arroyo Grande, right NOW, would you know how to take care of yourself and assist others?

The focus of the City of Arroyo Grande Fire Department Emergency Preparedness and Emergency Resilience program is having our citizens prepared for Emergencies and prepared for the recovery after an emergency.

This program will provide you with emergency preparedness information for earthquakes, floods, landslides, tsunamis, wild fires, hazardous materials, terrorism, recovery, planning, emergency supply kit checklist, emergency supply kit list, and coping with an emergency.

In the event of an emergency, you and your family should be prepared. Normal supplies, food, water, clothing, and medications that you use daily may be unavailable or inaccessible. Emergency preparedness professionals recommend that your Emergency Supply Kit will allow you to be self-sufficient for a minimum of 72 hours (3 days). A 5 day kit is even better! Your Emergency Supply Kit should be stored in a convenient location so you and your family have rapid accessibility if an emergency occurs. Please review the Emergency Supply Checklist.
