Measure O-06 Update
The voters of the City of Arroyo Grande approved a one-half percent retail transactions and use tax in the November 2006 General Election ("Measure O-06). As a result, the sales tax rate will increase to 7 3/4% beginning April 1, 2007. It is estimated that the tax will generate $1.4 million annually in additional revenue for the City, and it will be used to fund future needs identified in the City's long-range financial plan, including transportation projects, infrastructure improvements, public safety, and improvements to City facilities necessary to comply with Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations. The new transactions and use tax must be charged on all tangible personal property that is delivered or placed into use within the Arroyo Grande city limits.
