Department Overview
The Administrative Services Department is responsible for a wide range of activities and functions. The Department consists of two divisions: Finance and Human Resources. The main functions of this department include: investment management; biennial budget preparation; annual financial reporting; utility billing; accounts payable; payroll; business licensing; coordination of recruitments; labor negotiations; employee training; employee benefit administration; liability and property insurance administration.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Administrative Services Department is to manage the City's financial and personnel operations by providing accurate and timely information to the City Council, operating departments, and the public. To achieve this end, policies, record keeping and reporting are completed in compliance with generally accepted accounting principals and all applicable laws and regulations.
