ARROYO GRANDE, CA - The City of Arroyo Grande Recreation Services Department, in partnership with the Lucia Mar School District (LMUSD), continues to expand child care programs to assist working families and help children succeed in school. Since the LMUSD School Board voted to return to in-person school on February 16th, 2021, the City’s Enrichment Lab program is adapting to fit the Group A and Group B Hybrid in-person school model. The Enrichment Lab program for Kindergarten-6th Grades accommodates in-person school schedules at Ocean View and Branch Elementary Schools as well as offers a full distance learning option at the Mark M. Millis Community Center beginning March 8, 2021. The Enrichment Lab program follows all State Public Health and CDC guidelines.
The State Licensed child care program is operated by child care professionals and provides supervision and enrichment activities. Enrichment activities allow participants to engage in fun activities while also being attentive to school assignments and schedules. This program is unique from existing programs given the distance learning format and guidance offered to youth.
