ARROYO GRANDE, CA – The Arroyo Grande Recreation Services Department is proud to announce events for children, families and businesses for Halloween. Beginning with the Mayor’s House Decorating Challenge, activities such as a Scarecrow Contest, Costume Contest and Business Storefront Decorating contest are available for community members to join the festivities. Categories for house decorating include celebrations for Dia De Los Muertos, and the series of events will culminate with a socially distanced walk-in movie night at Soto Sports Complex.
The Department is excited to present the ‘AG Days of Halloween’ consisting of daily contests and adventures. The activities and contests all have prizes associated, sponsored by local businesses and organizations such as the Harvest Festival. Details and rules will be announced on the City’s website at www.arroyogrande.org/halloween2020.
For more information on the festivities, visit the City’s website and learn how you can participate in the fun! Winners will either be posted online or announced at the socially distanced walk-in movie night. It will be a spooktakular time, and a wonderful time to celebrate the season of fall as a community.
