ARROYO GRANDE, CA - The City would like to inform residents and commuters that East Cherry Avenue, from Traffic Way to Waller Street (approximately 500 ft) will be closed to eastbound traffic only, starting Monday, November 11, 2019 through Friday, November 15, 2019 for construction and paving of the south side of East Cherry Avenue. Eastbound traffic will be detoured on eastbound Allen Street and south on Garden Street to East Cherry Avenue. Westbound traffic will remain open as usual during this time. Construction hours are being extended from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to allow the work to be completed in one week. Depending on weather and issues encountered during the week, there is a possibility of construction on Saturday, November 16, 2019.
The following week, from Monday, November 18, 2019 to Friday, November 22, 2019, both east and westbound traffic on East Cherry Avenue will be shifted to the south side to complete the paving project .
Residents and commuters are asked to be patient and use extra caution when driving in this area over the next few weeks.
