[ARCHIVED] The City Rescinds the Stage 1 Water Shortage Emergency

City Lifts Stage 1 Water Emergency

At the March 28, 2023 City Council Regular Meeting a Resolution was adopted rescinding the Stage 1 Water Shortage Emergency and related emergency water shortage restrictions and penalties. Rescinding a Stage 1 water shortage emergency means the water supply conditions have improved, and the water management authorities no longer consider the situation to be a threat to the water supply. This decision is based on factors such as increased rainfall or snowpack and improved water storage levels. By rescinding the emergency, water use restrictions may be lifted, and normal water use activities may resume. However, it is important to note that water conservation should still be practiced, as water resources are finite and can be impacted by unpredictable weather patterns or other factors in the future.
