Road Closures: Corbett Canyon at Printz Road; the County has also closed Corbett Canyon at the County line.

THIS ORDER IS NOT WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS: SLO County has issued an Evacuation ORDER for Oceano residents south of the Arroyo Grande Creek Levee on March 9 at 8:00 PM. • Includes all areas south of the AG Creek Channel for 1 mile and West of Hwy. Detailed map at ReadySLO.org. Residents in this area need to seek higher ground before 8:00 PM tonight.

• A Temporary Evacuation Point has been established at the Oceano Community Center, 1425 19th St, Oceano CA 93445. RVs can park overnight at the community center.

• An American Red Cross Shelter will be open at 6:00 PM on the Cal Poly Campus Crandall Gym, 1 Grand Ave in San Luis Obispo. Pets are welcome at the shelter.

THIS WARNING IS NOT WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS: SLO County has issued and Evacuation WARNING for Oceano residents north of the Arroyo Grande Creek Levee and near the Oceano Lagoon. • Evacuation Warning in place for all areas north of the Arroyo Grande Creek Channel and south of Beach St; and north of the Arroyo Grande Creek Channel west of 19th St. south of Ocean St; and south of Pier Ave and west of Highway 1. • An Evacuation Warning means there is a potential threat to life and property and residents should prepare to leave if an evacuation is ordered.

• For questions the public can call the County Phone Assistance Center at (805) 543-2444 from 8 AM – 8 PM.

The National Weather Service reported that our area expects to receive 2” - 5” of rain with up to 3/4” per hour from Thursday into Friday. 
AG residents can pick-up sand and bags, to make your own sand bags, at the Public Works Offices and Corporation Yard at 1375 Ash Street during business hours (7:30am – 4:30pm). Empty bags available after hours at the Arroyo Grande Police Department, located 200 N. Halcyon Road. 
The Public Works Department will be assessing areas of the City throughout the event and updates will be provided through City communications channels, as appropriate.
Residents are encouraged to watch for information regarding the weather event on the National Weather Service website, ReadySLO.org website.
