ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA – The City of Arroyo Grande is holding its first Districting Public Workshop on Saturday, September 18th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Given the current concerns regarding COVID-19, this workshop will be held virtually via Zoom Webinar.
The City invites members of the Arroyo Grande community to participate in the districting process to help ensure district lines respect neighborhoods, communities of interest, history and geographical elements.
Identifying these areas will help the City Council draw district lines that best represent the City’s communities.
This workshop will provide an opportunity for public input on the establishment of a district-based election system. Specific objectives of the workshop include:
- Provide information about the districting process.
- Discuss and receive feedback on communities of interest in Arroyo Grande.
- Assist the public with submitting a draft map.
The public can participate by joining the Zoom webinar at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82719570268 (Webinar ID: 827 1957 0268).
A second public workshop is scheduled for October 28th.
